* The legend is believed that Lord Vishnu is the Aranmula idol. Some people think that Bhismaraj Arjuna is intimidated by Bharat Bhagwat.

* Someone has interpreted the Vishwaroopam to show Arjuna after the song in the Kurukshetra War. This idol was first spotted at Nallakal and that the devotees who came to this place, including the Natakaras, including the Krishinists, He has been settled in Nirappuram and Kadambavanam. The devotees also took their worship together. The sackcloths spotted the rafts on a lake in the south west of a small western west where the temple was on the way to the idol of the elephants. The idol was placed there. The lamp is now known as the Lighthouse. Legend has it that the place is called Aranmula because the idol came in the sixth spawn. *

It is believed that the temple was built by Arjuna, one of the Pandavas and the temple is dedicated to Lord Parthasarathy. Legend has it that Arjunan built this temple to complete the burden of murdering the unarmed Karman in the battlefield. Another legend is that the temple was originally built near Sabarimala. From there, the idol was then taken to a raft with six sprouts. That's why the name Aranmula comes in the sense of six chillies.
